About the Event
Imagination Station Children's Museum is proud to partner with Augusta Locally Grown to host our "Plant a Seed" program on September 30, 2021. Children will learn about the importance of planting and growing your own food. During the program, children will explore their senses and engage in STEM learning while planting their own seeds to take home. This program will take place outside in Hickman Park. You may get a little messy!Â

Augusta Locally Grown is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to growing the sustainable local food community throughout the Central Savannah River Area. From their website, "we are committed to the idea that a community is healthiest when it feeds itself. We accomplish through farmers markets and educational programming. 74% of our farms are women-owned/operated and 50% are veteran-owned - when you buy from ALG, you are supporting a dynamin food force." There mission ties into our "On the Farm" theme that we are learning through November.Â
