Preliteracy Area

preliteracy room.jpg

The Preliteracy room provides space for children to learn letters, numbers and use their imaginations. Activities are geared to help prepare minds and bodies for phonics, sequencing and writing. A small stage makes this room our home for story hours, music and everyday performances by little ones.

• Imaginations can run wild through storytelling with puppets and dress up clothes.

• Kids learn new sounds, vocabulary words and numbers while playing with puzzles and books.

• Fine motor tasks like hooks, locks and lacing prepare little hands for writing.
