About the Event

A Halloween themed Special Needs Saturday! We will have a variety of Halloween sensory bins, a special craft for the day and a treat to take home! Imagination Station will be open EXCLUSIVELY to children with special needs who are accompanied by an adult family member AT NO COST! This special quiet time is geared towards children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), developmental delays, motor delays, and sensory processing disorders, as well as children who are nonverbal, deaf, or hard of hearing.

Visitors will be able to explore the museum, play with many different sensory toys, & enjoy interactive hands-on activities in an accepting environment. We will also have information on hand about many local speech, physical & occupational therapy providers. If your child begins to feel overstimulated don’t hesitate to notify a member on staff of what can be done to help.

Our mission is to provide a program that accommodates special needs children in our community with an event that promotes socialization, inclusiveness, awareness & acceptance of individual differences.

This museum time is appropriate for children ages 0-10.

*Imagination Station is wheelchair accessible.
