David is a co-founder of the museum along with Quentin Davis and Valerie Mirshak.  He loves old houses and is self employed as a house flipping handyman. He was previously a stay-at-home dad who loved making stimulating and educational toys for his now 8 year old daughter Ada.  He taught math at middle and high school levels and college level educational technology. He holds a B.A. from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee State University. He created Numeracy Works, a company that offered computer based instructional tools for math teachers. He also was the organizer of the now-closed Central Park Community Garden. He enjoys volunteering and building community through park improvement, tennis, and neighborhood activities.
